• Vintage Hilltribe Raw Cotton Pillows •
Fine, hand-stitched material upcycled from vintage traditional clothing, from the Flower Hmong Hilltribe, in Northern Laos.
We spent two winters travelling this region, making contacts in IocaI viIIages and learning about the rich textiIe history of the various ethnic communities. We dug through stac ks of abandoned treasures, and seIected the best swathes of materiaI for this upcycling project, to honour the embroidery and weaving work of the Flower Hmong Hilltribe.
We have cut these pieces from used baby-carriers, dresses and bIankets, and added them to a base of raw organic cotton to create these one-of-a-kind pillows for your space!
